Hex Valves were developed to simplify the piping required throughout the process industries. These valves are so common, “Hex Valve” became a generic term for bar stock instrument, gauge, and orifice valves. Today, leaders in the natural gas, chemical and petroleum industries depend on Hex Valve for reliable equipment that is easy to install and operate.

Testing to EPA Reference Method 21 (reference: 40 CFR 60, BAAQMD, Reg. 8, Rule 18, SCAQMD rules), all Hex Valve TFE, 1625G Grafoil and Graphaseal bonnet valves are Certified Low E, guaranteed not to leak more than 100ppm for five (5) years in accordance with industry mandates.

Needle & Ball Valves

Instrument ball valves, instrument needle valves, and integral bonnet needle valves

The HFN Series valve is a severe service integral-bonnet needle valve that features a one-piece forged body and graphoil packing, all designed to handle the extreme conditions of high pressure and high temperature services such as those in super-heated steam power plant services
The HH Series is a heavy duty, high pressure needle valve that features an industrial strength stem and bonnet and enhanced packing arrangement all designed to handle the tough conditions of high pressure service.
This needle valve is targeted for the gas sampling, OEM and reseller market. “T” handles or 1″ diameter round knurled handles.
The HN39 Instrument Valves are compact and economical high pressure instrument valves. Panel manufacturers can use the standard panel nut to secure valves to instrument panel.
These valves are specifically targeted for the oil and gas industry and are available only in 316 Stainless Steel per NACE MR-01-75. Valves are rated at 6000 psig @ 200°F (413,7 bar @ 93°C)
The HN49 Series is a heavy duty needle valve that features an industrial strength stem and bonnet, and enhanced packing arrangement, all designed to handle the tough conditions of high pressure and high temperature services.
Instrument grade ball valves are primarily used as a block valve for instruments, drain valves, on/off valves for panel and systems, and many other applications and OEM equipment. This cost effective line of ball valves offer several pressure ratings, end connection options (upon request) and sizes.

Mono-Ball valves The Mono Ball Valve design is used for direct shutoff of flow like any ball valve. The difference is the compact design and light weight. The valve can be used in conjunction with other valves in the series to allow for a safer shutoff creating a double block for safety. This can also be used with a double block and bleed valve where safety shutoff is of great concern but still allows for a small profile
The Hex Monoflange valves are used on Upstream Offshore/Onshore Gas and Oil production and initial processing installations. Typically used on gas gauge pressure instrument applications to minimize the size and weight of the pipe-valve assemblies used for primary and/or secondary isolation, vent and calibration. Also used in downstream Oil and Gas Refining and Petrochemical production on flanged processes, primarily on light end gas applications. High quality metal to metal shutoff meets ANSI Class VI criteria.
Distribution manifolds The Hex monoweld is used on upstream offshore/onshore gas and oil production and initial processing installations. Typically used on single or dual gauge pressure or analyzer installations to minimize the size and weight of the pipe-valve assemblies used for primary and/or secondary isolation, vent and calibration. Also used in downstream oil and gas refining and petrochemical production on welded, or flanged pipe processes, primary on gas applications or light end liquids.

HexBlok Valves

Hexblok modular double block & bleed valves used on upstream offshore/onshore oil production and initial processing installations

Double Block & Bleed Valves Hexbloks are used primarily on upstream offshore/onshore oil production and initial processing installations. Typically used on liquid hydrocarbon applications to minimize the size and weight of the pipe-valve assemblies associated with gauge pressure or analytical instrumentation. Used specifically for primary and/or secondary isolation, vent and calibration access, or sampling or injection applications. Also used in downstream oil refining and petrochemical production on flanged process piping.

HexConnect Series

A direct mount system for orifice metering of natural gas

Hex Valve now offers Hex Connect, a direct mount system for orifice metering of natural gas. Hex Connect is specially designed to reduce pulsation by using a short couple system and our large 3/8” bore manifolds and connectors, thus keeping the same size flow consistent to the measurement device.

Condensate Pots The main purpose of the condensate pot is to catch and hold condensate and foreign material. This prevents damage to the metering system and/or manifold. Condensate pots are used as a barrier between the main line and the secondary instruments in the measurement of steam or other vapors which condensate to a liquid state insuring compatibility with the secondary instruments. They can also be used to cool down very high temperature liquids.
The Hex HK11 Universal Gauge Mounting Kit provides rigid mounting of a gauge while allowing simple maintenance and calibration. It enables horizontal or vertical mounting while providing additional support for the gauge. It also reduces the installation radius and number of components used, eliminating much of the cost associated with the large number of parts required for conventional gauge mounting. The Hex method consists only of a bracket and tubing with connectors, and provides stable support of the gauge while eliminating the need for field fabrication.

Y pattern forged body globe style valve. Excellent flow characteristics, allows streamlined flow, eliminates corrosion and deposits, 60° incline pressure drop. Heavy integral stellite grade 6 seat and cone, one piece body integral to bonnet, non-rotating splined stem, combination gland ring and packing, heavy two-piece gland business and hand wheel.
Sample/drain valve The HS31 is a sample/drain valve used to extract a fresh sample while providing tight shutoff and high pressure and temperature capabilities. It is designed as a solution to routine and difficult fluid sampling applications including viscous liquids, slurries and other products that tend to solidify when cooled or exposed to the atmosphere.
Tube Fittings If you use tubing with your instrument valves, you can save time and installation labor by specifying your Hex valves with the integral tube fitting option.
Isolation Rings can be used with a simple pressure gauge for protection of delicate, expensive instrumentation such as switches, transmitters, recorders, and transducers. Re calibrating gauges are available from Hex.
Purge Ports are 1/8″ FNPT plugged access ports on the inlet side of the shutoff valves on all Hex manifolds (except HM93/94). They allow for easy draining of impulse lines or the introduction of a purge gas or liquid seal without requiring additional tees and fittings. Hex 1/8″ Test Ports allows transmitter vent/test access, and are located on the outlet side of the manifold (usually behind the shutoff valves).
Safety Handles are utilized when there are concerns for safety, tampering or space limitations. A simple alternative to conventional T-handles, a tool (wrench or screwdriver) is required to open or close the valve. The compact design also prevents accidental valve actuation due to clothing snags or bumps.
Simple modular method of steam heating field instruments and eliminating the tubing loops used for traditional tracing. With the block directly attached to the manifold, heat transfer is consistent, reliable, and the instrument is left free for simple removal for maintenance. The steam block’s compact design allows easy insulation through the use of a variety of commercially available enclosures.
