Back Pressure Regulators
The Equilibar Back Pressure Regulator is our core technology. It features a flexible diaphragm as its only moving part to provide frictionless, stable operation. The Equilibar’s dome- loaded, multiple orifice design offers instantaneous control and exceptional precision for the most complex applications.
Sanitary Valves
Equilibar® FD sanitary valves are designed with special features for biopharmaceutical and other sanitary applications.
Single-Use Products
The Equilibar® dome loaded multi-orifice valve technology is now available in a single use valve. The patent pending Equilibar® SD series single use valves are manufactured using USP Class VI polymers and stainless steel. The disposable valve body made of polymer is inserted into a stainless-steel support housing with wing nut closure for quick and easy assembly. The Equilibar single use valve for bioprocessing systems is a revolutionary design in single use pressure control.
Flow Control Valves
Precision control across an ultra-wide range of flow rates for gases, liquids and mixed-phase fluids.
The Equilibar® advanced flow control valve works in a control loop with an electronic controller and a flow meter. For demanding flow control applications where the supply pressure is largely stable, Equilibar customers have discovered significant benefits including wide Cv range capability, chemical compatibility and multiphase fluid handling.
Vacuum Regulators
The Equilibar® vacuum regulator (EVR) uses multiple orifices sealed by a flexible diaphragm instead of a single large valve seat. The EVR is dome-loaded by a pneumatic pilot regulator setting the vacuum setpoint. As flow requirements change, the diaphragm moves a few millimetres to open and close over some or all of the orifices, providing instantaneous and frictionless control. The pneumatic pilot setpoint pressure may be set with a manual or electronic vacuum pilot regulator.
EVR is available in sizes from 1/4″ to 4″ ports.
Pressure Reducing Regulators
Pressure Reducing Regulators for Air and inert gases
Pressure Reducing Regulators (PRR) are the most common type of pressure regulator. They reduce an unregulated inlet pressure down to a desired regulated outlet pressure.
The manual PRRs listed below are recommended as pilot pressure regulators for Equilibar back pressure regulators. All PRRs listed are designed for use with air or inert gas* and have a small but significant weep to the atmosphere.
Electronic Pressure Regulators
Equilibar offers a wide range of precision electronic pressure regulators (EPRs) for controlling air or inert gas for various applications. These are recommended for controlling the pilot reference setpoint pressure for Equilibar dome-loaded back pressure regulators and vacuum regulators. All models shown here are designed for use with air or inert gases in non-hazardous/non-explosive environments. For information about ATEX-rated controllers, please contact us.
For best performance when using these EPRs as a pilot setpoint regulator for an Equilibar BPR, a tubing connection between the outlet of the electronic regulator and the dome of the BPR should have a minimum volume of 2 cubic inches / 35cc.
